Who doesn’t like a box of Godiva Chocolates? Ideas for Mothers Day at Home

Why would you want to spend Mother’s Day at home? Perhaps the real question is why wouldn’t you! You can do something special for Mom right at home without breaking the bank. Most families are already taking mom out for her special day and could be a bit crowded out there.  You can avoid all the crowds, and create a special day for mom right at home.  This is a great way to get the kids involved to start her day out right.

First of all, let mom sleep in.  While she is asleep, you and the kids get ready to surprise mom.

• Do a pancake brunch buffet with all the fixings
• Mimosa or Wine Bar, Sparkling Cider (for the kids)
• Plant new flowers in the garden
• Create a tea party in the garden
• Put together a scavenger hunt where mom can find her gifts

A Well-deserved Spa Day for Mom!!

Mother’s Day should be mom’s day off and let everyone else pamper her.  After all the excitement of the day of celebration with family and kids, this is a time for her to relax.

Draw a hot bath outlined with rose petals.  You can surround the tub with candles as well and have a glass of wine waiting on by the side of the bathtub.  Meanwhile, prepare the bedroom.
